Beautiful. Natural. Simple
Unlike many commercial soaps, which are produced with chemical detergents, hardeners, and synthetic lather-enhancers that can leave your skin tight, dry, and irritated, natural REAL soap is made from all-natural animal and plant oils and saponified with lye. The first record of soap in history is from ancient Babylon in 2800 BC. It was produced by the same methods used today, just a bit more primitive. In ancient times, people would mix animal or vegetable oils together with plant byproducts (ashes). When water and hardwood ash are mixed together, the solution is extremely alkaline. . . a basic lye solution. The result was a simple soap. In modern times, the process is the same, but with the added knowledge of chemistry when applied to soapmaking, soap can be made with a custom blend of oils with a percentage of those oils left unsaponified to moisturize the skin. You can feel confident about what you're putting on your body when you use handcrafted soap.
